Mac OS X Software

We offer several slick utilities for Mac OS X. Click an app's title or the "More Info" link to see its page, or click the "Download" link to give it a try.

Socks

Socks is a powerful troubleshooting, maintenance, optimization, and customization utility for Mac OS X. Novice and expert users alike will appreciate Socks for its remarkably dynamic yet simple configuration system and the ability to fully automate their maintenance schedule. Socks's core features include the ability to check and repair damaged volumes, check and repair corrupt file permissions, change Spotlight settings and rebuild volume indexes, clean system, application and web caches, check for corrupt preference files, run system cron maintenance, optimize internet connection buffers, remove document and web usage history, and customize Mac OS's interface and behavior.

BiggieSmall

BiggieSmall is a simple batch image resizing app. Distributing large digital images can be a pain. Large images can take a long time to email or upload to a web site (many email systems won't even allow sending attachments over a certain size!), the recipient of the images might not want to download such large files, and large images might not display correctly on the web. BiggieSmall is great for quickly creating beautiful, small, interpolated (smoothed) images.

iMote

iMote is a simple, elegant, and lightweight program for controlling iTunes from just about any application. Play/pause, change tracks, select playlists, adjust volume, rate tracks, and more using fully customizable hot-keys or a universal menu bar item. iMote includes a beautiful iPod-esque floating window, indicating current track information, and Growl support if you want an even more stream-lined experience with your other Growl-enabled applications. Written using Cocoa, iMote is lean and mean, consuming minimal system memory and CPU time. iMote is the original iTunes controller.

WiSpy

WiSpy is a tiny app that does nothing more than display your current AirPort link speed in megabits per second in the menu bar. This is useful to determine where at your location you get the fastest reception for local file transfers, or where there is radio interference.

Pinki

Pinki can quickly and easily create portable, hard-wired thumbnail icons for image files. Pinki includes a system menu bar item, and fully customizable key-combinations. Simply highlight the images you want to create icons for in the Finder, and use Pinki's key-combination or menu bar item to transform the images' generic icons into beautiful anti-aliased thumbnails. Pinki can also remove hard-wired thumbnails, and save 128x128 pixel .icns versions of images.
