Please describe the problem, and the events that lead to its occurrence. Can the problem be reproduced? If so, please explain how. Being detailed helps greatly in determining what's wrong.
If the application crashed, Apple's CrashReports can be extremely useful in determining the cause. If you'd like to include a crash report they can be found in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ApplicationName_Date_HostName.crash. Open up the newest report for the application and copy/paste the contents here. Additionally, at the time an application crashes, the same report can be found by clicking the "Show Resport" button on the resulting "Crash" or "Unexpectedly Quit" dialog.
