• Q: Why does Pinki increase the file size of images?

  A: Portable thumbnail image data has to be stored inside of the image file. The bitmapped icon data usually adds between 30 and 60 KB to the image file. If the file is copied to a Windows computer (copied/burned to a non-HFS disk) or uploaded to a web server, the image data will be stripped from the file.
